Two of the greatest achievements in Reece’s chess career
1st Place Susan Polgar World Open (SPWO) for $56,000 Scholarship
This 6 round tournament was in Chicago. The section consisted of a few higher rated players, one of which was ranked over 2300+. The 3rd game was an extremely tough loss to a much younger player. Reece ultimately overcame this loss and in the 5th round beat the highest rated player in the section. Reece recieved a $56,000 scholarship to Webster University (which has the best collegiate chess team in the world).
Georgia Highschool State Champion (2013/2014)
This tournament allows K-12 students to personally represent the state of Georgia in a national tournament. This tournament is invite only and requires a certain chess ranking, depending on age, to be invited. Reece won both his junior and senior years of highschool.
